    • Each card features a 2-digit number and three options at the bottom, which might include pictures of MAB (Multibase Arithmetic Blocks), numerals, or numbers written in words.

    • Students use pegs to select the correct representation of the given 2-digit number.

 

Example Activity

  • Card Example:

    • The card shows the number 84.

    • At the bottom of the card, there are three options:

      • A picture of MAB blocks with 8 tens and 4 ones.

      • A picture of MAB blocks with 7 tens and 4 ones.

      • A picture of MAB blocks with 8 tens and 5 ones.

    • Students need to peg the correct option, which is the picture with 8 tens and 4 ones.
