How Does the "Spin 3-Digit Numbers" Game Work?

  1. Preparation:

    • Download the "Spin 3-Digit Numbers" game and print out the sheets. Laminating the sheets will allow for repeated use. Each student will need a recording sheet and a spinning wheel.

    • Teachers need to attach a spinner arrow to the spinning wheel or use a pencil and paperclip as a makeshift spinner.

  2. Interactive Learning:

    • Students take turns spinning the spinner three times. Each spin will result in a number between 0 and 9.

    • Students record each of the three numbers that come up on their recording sheet.

    • Using the three numbers from their spins, students then rearrange the numbers to create the smallest possible 3-digit number.

    • Next, students rearrange the numbers again to form the largest possible 3-digit number.
