Rainbow Numbers

Calling all kindergarten and year 1 teachers! Are you looking for a fun and engaging way to teach your students about numbers to 20? Well, look no further than our free printable activity, Rainbow Numbers!

This activity is designed to be a fun and interactive way for students to learn about numbers to 20. Each student is given a cloud and they need to write any number from 1 to 20 on the cloud in numerals and in words. But that's just the beginning! Students then represent this number in a variety of different ways, sticking their representations at the bottom of the cloud.

These representations include tally marks, pictures, tens frames, MAB blocks, and 2 parts that add together to make the number. Each representation is drawn onto a rectangle in a different colour. When these rectangles are glued onto the cloud, they look like a rainbow coming out of the bottom of the cloud. The end result is a beautiful and colorful artwork that can be displayed in the classroom.

But this activity isn't just about creating a pretty picture. It's a great way for students to learn about numbers to 20 and how to represent them in different ways. Plus, it's a fun and engaging way to keep students interested and excited about learning.
